The problem, here in lies with transfering one number from vodaphone to optus. My current account is a pre-paid one which happened to have the date of birth incorrectly recorded. Unfortulatly for me this is what they use to verify the transfer. This would normaly be ok, it’s jsut that nobody told me, they just suspended the order indefinatly.

So I finaily found out this was the issue and tried to call by existing supplier to get it changed. With no idea what my pin is I ask them to use other details to verify me. So they ask me my date of birth… Now i have two problems, but finaly luck strikes. A guess at my pin turns out correct and now I only need to wait another week before the phone actualy arrives.

MVC Validation

Last Friday I stumbled across a very painful mvc validation issue where the textbox html helper was throwing a nice null object exception. This seems to be because the default value for the item is not set, because the field I was using was not one on my model (something that shouldn’t be required).
